The Life of Joseph Reveals Jesus Christ

The fourth patriarch in the line of Abraham is Joseph.

In Joseph’s life, there are at least 18 revelations of Jesus Christ.

Genesis 37
1. Loved by his father (v. 3).
2. His father sent Joseph (v. 12-14).
3. He was sought by his brothers (v. 15-18).
4. He was hated by his brothers (v. 19-20).
5. His brothers plotted against him (v. 19-20).
6. He was stripped of his coat (v. 23).
7. He was thrown into a pit (v. 24).
8. His brothers were indifferent to his suffering (v. 25).
9. He was taken out of a pit (v. 25-28).
10. He was sold into slavery (v. 28).
11. He was taken to Egypt (v. 28).

Genesis 41
12. He was separated from his brothers.
13. He was filled with the Holy Spirit (v. 38).
14. He was an exalted ruler (v. 39-40).
15. Every knee bowed to him (v. 42-43).
16. People looked to Joseph to be saved (v. 55).
